Since 2022, Dr. Hofschneider has had the honor of supporting students, teachers, and families with her contract work with the CNMI Public School System, Special Education program. This pivot from neurorehabilitation and center-based services to education revealed the still dire need for expert behavior services in the CNMI, at the community /health level. With a passion for teaching and working with consumers, she is further pivoting her efforts to establish sustainable behavior and health services through the Pacific Behavior Center.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science based on the principles of behavior that are used to improve and progress socially significant behaviors through systematic methods that identify factors influencing the behavior.

Neurodevelopmental condition that has a range of presentation typically characterized by persistent differences in social communication (language, play), restricted interests, and repetitive behaviors.

Autism can be very individualized, meaning each individual has their own unique strengths and characteristics. ABA attends to these individualized cases by customizing treatment plans based on a functional behavior assessment.

Autism is just one diagnosis that ABA treatment supports.

ABA is also effective with many other conditions and diagnoses including:

Acquired Brain Injury (strokes, traumatic brain injuries),
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Intellectual Disability
Down Syndrome, and
neurotypical individuals

impacting behaviors such as communication, social skills, hygiene/grooming, health/lifestyle improvements, green/sustainable behaviors, habit reversal, and skill building.

Since ABA focuses on individual behavior change, all individuals -with or without a diagnosis – benefit: increasing adaptive, safe, functional behaviors and decreasing challenging behaviors.

Wherever you are on your journey, we will customize treatment toward meaningful goals.
